Design Inspiration
Inspired by the power of the shastars, which remains alive to this day. The lightning that runs through every weapon in this design shows the strength they hold. That power is why Dasam Patshah, Guru Gobind Singh Ji, honoured the shastars as our Peer:
"ਅਸਿ ਕ੍ਰਿਪਾਨ ਖੰਡੋ ਖੜਗ ਤੁਪਕ ਤਬਰ ਅਰੁ ਤੀਰ ॥ ਸੈਫ ਸਰੋਹੀ ਸੈਹਥੀ ਯਹੈ ਹਮਾਰੈ ਪੀਰ ॥"
For a Singh, shastars are to be respected, revered and kept ang-sang at all times, as Guru Sahib ordained.
Every weapon in this design is one that has been carried by the Khalsa Fauj and is still practised in Gatka, the Sikh martial art. Curved talwars, tall barchhas and kirpans open out like wings around the dhaal, the shield of protection.
They are not just weapons, but symbols of strength and authority. Forged with purpose, they were never meant for display, only to stand when protection is needed.
